National Welly Week

10-17 October 2009

Last year Welly Week raised around £16,500 and brought us tens of thousands of pounds worth of press coverage, creating an immeasurable amount of public awareness.

The aim is to make this year's event  even more successful. Once again the objective of the week will be two-fold: raising funds to help those in need of specialist support and spreading awareness about RABI's role through having fun.

This year's campaign was launched at the YFCs national convention at the beginning of May with the slogan - "What colour are yours?" We understand that there was such a demand for the Welly Week wrist bands that they had all been snapped up within hours on the first day.

We're looking for as many fundraising ideas as you can think of so please don't be shy in coming forward! The fundraising pack can be downloaded HERE with other marketing materials available from the fundraising, marketing & communications department on 01865 724931.  You can also make a donation through www.justgiving.com/RABIWellyWeek.

Celebrity Support for Welly Week

Welly Week has gained the support of a number of celebrities and we got them to 'design a welly'. Here are their ideas.

Welly Sky Dive

Congratulations must go to Milly Wastie, Jenny Thompson and Andrew Watson for their Welly Sky Dive on the 5th September at Hinton in the Hedges airfield.

They all landed safely and raised over £2,000 between them for RABI's Welly Week.

Many thanks for all the support they received.
