Christmas Soiree

December 2011

A very good evening was enjoyed by everyone at the Suffolk committee's Christmas Soiree. The fish and chip supper went down very well as did the venue - a barn with a heated floor!! Needed for a winter evening.

Due to the success of this it will hopefully become a more regular feature of events in the county.

  

Suffolk Welly Quiz Night

October 2011

The Suffolk committee organised a welly quiz night as part of their efforts for RABI's Welly Week. Held at Brandeston Village Hall the evening raised about £900 for RABI.

A big thank you to tony Rutterford for setting the questions and to David Rowe for acting as quiz master assisted by Jill Girling.

Ladies That Lunch

On a beautiful sunny morning Suffolk committee were hosts to a "Ladies that lunch event." This was a Thai cookery demonstration followed by a delicious lunch of Thai green curry cooked by the committee. The demonstrator was Tip Flory & despite not being able to cook in the hall due to new fire regulations gave a good insight into Thai cookery .

She & her assistant produced canapés for all 90 guests which were enjoyed outside in the sunshine with drinks before lunch There were shopping opportunities with various crafts, pottery jewellery & fashion accessories all of whom seemed busy & enjoyed the day.

  

Pig Racing

March 2011

The RABI suffolk committee organised a very enjoyable and successful evening of Pig Racing!  The Pig Racing kit was on loan from Stowmarket Lions Club and went down a storm.  Over £1,000 was raised for RABI.
