You can all breathe a sigh of relief - I am back on solid ground in one piece having survived the skydive in wellies! And they stayed on! Thank you to all of those who sponsored me and to those who supported us at Hinton in the Hedges airfield on a dreary September afternoon. It was one of the most surreal experiences of my life, which I can now cross off my 'things to do beofre i'm 30' list!

It has been an incredible year, with many great events run by the East Midalnds committees. A big thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the past year - county committees, young farmers, NFU officers, colleagues, friends and family - without you we would not be able to achieve half as much as we have.

Looking forward to next year there are many anniversary celebration events being planned in the region. Arrangements are well underway for a ball at Belvoir Castle, a cocktail party at Welbeck Estate, a full day's clay shoot and dinner in Derbyshire, and a grand dinner in Northamptonshire! Two agricultural societies, teh Newark and Notts and the Lincolnshire, have chosen RABI as their charity of the year.
