Wellbeck Estate Summer Party

June 2010

The Nottinghamshire RABI committee organised a summer party at Welbeck estate. 130 guests enjoyed an evening in the Titchfield library on the estate with food, drink, an auction and the rare opportunity to view the famous underground ballroom on the estate which once boasted the largest un-supported glass ceiling in the world.

The chapel was also open for viewing with a vast display of artwork including tapestries and the centre piece oil painting valued at £4 million pounds!

The evening drew to a close with the charity auction taking place raising £1,200 plus the draw of the shoot raffle which was drawn by Angela Barton, a vice president of RABI which also raised £2,500.

    

Brackenhurst Estate Walks and Cream Tea

27 June 2010

Brackenhurst College held a farm walk and cream tea event on Sunday 27th June to raise money for RABI.  £360 was raised through the sale of cream teas.

Many thanks to Nottinghamshire committee member Vic Hird for organising this.

Newark & Notts Show

May 2010

RABI was thrilled to be asked to be charity of the show at the Newark & Notts show recently.  As part of our 150th celebrations we raised £2,000 from bucket collections, sale of vegetables by the NFU among other things.

A big thank you must go to the Newark & Notts Agricultural Society, the NFU, Sutton Bonnington college, Notts YFC and the Nottingham & Trent students.

    

North Notts NFU Dinner Dance

April 2010

A big thank you must go to North Notts NFU for the generous donation of £660 raised at their annual dinner dance.

Newark Vintage Tractor Show

November 2009

The Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show held a charity auction during the show to raise money for RABI. McCormick memorabilia was generously donated by Agriargo and helped to raise £1452.

Notts Shoot Prize Draw

25 June 2010

The Notts committee are holding a prize draw of a 200 Pheasant and Partridge Day Shoot hosted by Brian Walker on the Hainton Estate, Lincolnshire.

The draw will take place on the 25th June 2010 at an exclusive event on the Welbeck Estate. Tickets are £20 each and are available from Milly Wastie or Geoff Bower on 01623 870354.  All proceeds to RABI.
