A fundraising Farmhouse Breakfast hosted by Sam Turner & Sons at Piercebridge, County Durham raised a marvellous £530 for R.A.B.I. Organised by the Durham committee and supported by H&H Land & Property, the event was a huge success and also featured a cheque presentation by Caroline Wilson who donated £2,600 from her Great North Run in 2014.
Durham Young Farmers’ Cycling Challenge for R.A.B.I.
Young farmers in Durham have raised £1,500 for R.A.B.I..
Regional manager Sally Conner was presented with a cheque for the money at the county YFC federation’s AGM in November.
To raise the money three county representatives, Richard Gilson, Christina Kemp and Lydia Iceton, cycled to visit every club in the county, with other members joining them for some of the journey. The Staindrop club also held a dance.
Sally said: “It was a fantastic effort and they raised just as much money for the Air Ambulance, which is tremendous. We’re very grateful for the federation’s support in raising funds for R.A.B.I., as well as in raising awareness of our work.”
