October 2009

As well as attracting exhibitors from across the UK, with dolls houses and minature accessories to suit every taste, the attendance was well up on last year.
Middleham Primary School
October 2009
A big thank you must go to MIddleham Primary School for raising £230.50 for RABI from the sale of produce after their Harvest Festival Service.
They also celebrated Welly Week with a special song written to the tune of 'Conkers'.
Wellies, Lovely Wellies
Wellies, I’m wearing Wellies,
I’m trying hard to find the biggest and the best.
Wellies, lovely Wellies,
I want some Wellies that are better than the rest.
In the wet weath-er
Outside the farm
A sight so great to behold
Amidst the autumn leaves
My new well-ies
So beautiful and bold.
Chorus
Out in the play-ground
After rain all day
I jump in puddles big and small
And as I love to splash
And you get wet
I don’t get wet at all
Chorus
Straight to a Welly Shop
I stretch to see
The rows of different pairs
I know my perfect ones
Wait there for me
To choose and take away
Chorus.

July 2009
Bedale farmers who ran the Bedale Agricultural Show until the early sixties have continued to hold a splendid annual banquet and ball, lately at Ripon Spa, where in addition to a delightful evening they have raised substantial sums for various charities including Lamplighters Children’s Cancer Unit, the Air Ambulance, Leukaemia Research, and MacMillan Nurses. Their chosen charity this year is the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
