Great Yorkshire Show

13-15 July 2010

The Great Yorkshire Show was as always a very busy time for RABI, with the stand drawing attention by way of the Victorian wood and rope making demonistrations.

The three Farming Help charities were presented with a cheque for £75,000 to be divided equally by the NFU Mutual at their breakfast event.

and finally Howard Petch was presented with the RABI/YAS cup for the person who has given the most outstanding contribution to agriculture in Yorkshire during the year.

Coffee at the Castle

15 June 2010

An early cream tea event was held at Hornby Castle on the 15th June by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Clutterbuck. We went for morning coffee instead of cream tea and had 60 people attending raising £600.

Vintage Tractor Rally

The tractor which is currently being raffled around the country visited the Vintage Tractor Rally at Newby Hall. Mark Conner, husband of regional officer Sally took it for a spin around the main ring.

Alan King Retires

April 2010

Alan King has retired from the North Yorkshire committee after many years support. He was one of the founding members and has been a dedicated and hard working member.

Black Sheep Brewery Dinner

The North Yorkshire committee organised a fabulous dinner at the Black Sheep Brewery to commemorate 150 years of RABI. 100 people attended and raised £1,000 for the charity.

It was a wonderful evening and our hosts certainly pulled the stops out to make it and enjoyable evening.
