Strawberries and Cream Tea

August 2010

The strawberries and cream evening at Dove Cottage Garden Centre, Halifax was the venue for the West Riding Committee's very successful Cream Tea event serving canapes, strawberries dipped in chocolate, an unusual strawberries and blue cheese combination which was delicious, scones and strawberry jam plus strawberries and cream!!

The sun shone as 65 guests toured the stunning gardens with owners Stephen and Kim Rogers raising £550 for RABI. Special thanks go to Diane Chislett and Verna Winduss for baking cakes and making jam to sell at the event.

YFC Northern Area Competion

West Riding Quiz Night

June 2010

The first ever West Riding pub quiz was very well attended and a huge success at the Jack O’Mitre public house, Huddersfield. Many thanks go to landlord and farmer Stuart Gledhill and his wife Joanne for their support and great pie and pea supper. The evening raised £365 and will hopefully run again next year.
