Isle of Wight
Picnic and Auction
July 2010
The Isle of Wight committee organised a picnic and auction at the home of Murray and Anne Baird.
With over 100 people attending it was a great evening raising over £2,000. Guests were provided with drinks and nibles and were asked to bring along their own picnics to enjoy in the gardens.
Mr George Creasey did a magnificent job as the auctioneer for the evening and a big thank you must go to everyone who donated auction lots, which included a ride in a vintage Bentley followed by cream tea.
Bluebell and Woodland Walk
24 April 2010
The Isle of Wight committee once again held a very succesful walk through 40 acres of bluebell woods at Newnham Farm, Binstead. The guided tour was followed by refreshments.
60 people attended, many of whom were new to RABI and raised £600 for the charity.
Once again a big thank you goes to John and Di Cleaver and the Isle of Wight committee.

Carol Evening
December 2009
Carol evenings at the Isle of Wight Lavender Farm have become a regular prelude to Christmas on the island. Once again the two consecutive evenings at the beginning of December proved a great success with 40 people filling the room on both nights. They enjoyed a festive programme of carols and poems, augmented by mulled wine and nibbles, with a good deal of humour. Kindly hosted by the Abbott family and organised by the Isle of Wight RABI committee the evenings raised £800 and a lot of goodwill.
