Bicton College - Welly Wednesday

A big thank you to Bicton College for supporting Welly Week so enthusiastically with their Welly Wednesday events.  Activities ranged from a bucket collection in the town, tractor pull, welly conga and racing with concrete wellies!!!!!

      

      

Music in Devon

June 2009

A small but enthusiastic crowd attended the second outing of the Dowrich summer music spectacular, and were treated to a number of superb performances by some of the best musicians in the county, including Kate Walker (soloist), Andrew Barratt, Chris Gradwell and Felicity Mairies. Michael Lee once again opened up his beautiful home to RABI and despite numbers being badly affected by heavy rain in nearby Tiverton, a good night was had by all.

Mouse Racing

Blackawton Village Hall was the venue for a night of mouse racing entertainment. Generously sponsored and organised by Jason McCoy of the Newton Abbot branch of Mole Valley Farmers, the hall was packed to the rafters. Michael Pedrick, of local firm Rendells, provided the 'entertainment' as auctioneer for the night and the mice lived up to their star billing with some thrillingly tight finishes! The money raised on the night, which included a raffle and an auction of donated goods and services, will be split between RABI and Devon Air Ambulance.
