Erys Hughes - Regional Officer, Wales

As we reach the half way mark in our special anniversary year, I have to praise our hard working committees for their continued efforts to make this a memorable occasion. I am certain that this work will be rewarded by a great increase in the awareness and profile of RABI which will hopefully lead to many more potential beneficiaries approaching us for help and support.

I would wish to express my sincere thanks to the members of the Farming Union of Wales for their recognition of our work in supporting the more vulnerable members of the farming community; RABI received their annual external award for contribution to the agricultural community at their recent AGM.

The show season is also with us and I look forward to meeting many of you again, especially at the Royal Welsh Show. Please call at our stand to say hello and to have a 'cuppa' with us. You will see from the diary that there are more events to come and I would like to see as many as possible attend our services of thanks and celebration later in the year.
