The Northumberland committee is gearing itself up for a busy time, with the big centenary ball celebrating the 100th anniversary of the NFU not far away. If you would like to join us it is on Saturday 3rd October at the Hilton, Gateshead, tickets cost £50 including a meal, wine and dancing to the Ray Chester band, black tie, 7.15pm to midnight. it will be a night to remember so come along and have some fun. On Monday 25th August the committee will be welcoming A1 Northumbria Veterinary Group as they arrive at Glendale Show at the end of their 'tryathlon' in aid if three charities, including RABI.

In October, Co Durham committee is hosting a www. evening - 'wellies, wine and waffle' - in Barnard Castle and on 20th September is making a debut at the Eggleston Show. We are planning a 'picnic in the park' with a jazz band, in June next year and are looking for a suitable venue - if you know of one please let me know.

North Yorkshire committee is holding a clay pigeon shoot near Bedale on the 6th September and is holding its annual Christmas concert at Swinton Park on Wednesday 10th December. This year's exciting fundraiser is a doll's house fair at Beadle School on Saturday 11th October.

East Yorkshire committee is celebrating Welly Week on Friday 17th October with either a race night or a barn dance, we can't quite decide, but whichever, it will be in wellies! We also have our usual Christmas concert at Burton Agnes Hall on Thursday 20th November.
