 News from Isle of WightIsle of Wight Ploughing MatchSeptember 2008 The Isle of Wight ploughing match was held on Saturday 20th September. A good crowd turned out on a beautiful sunny day for welly wanging and other entertainment. Many thanks to the Isle of Wight committee for their help in making this such a successful day after weeks of events being cancelled across the country.
Isle of Wight Choir Evening15 June 2008 The Haverfordwest Choir entertained 200 people at Somerton Farm, on the Isle of Wight on Sunday 15th June. A big thank you to David and Diana Biles for hosting event and to Arthur and Mavis Mew Mavis and committee for organising the evening. The evening raised £1300 despite the drizzle.
Farmers Thanksgiving ServiceSeptember 2007 A harvest thanksgiving service was held at Quarr Abbey on the Isle of Wight on the 16th September. The collection was donated to RABI to help the current crisis in farming. Our thanks to the Isle of Wight committee and Father Gregory for making it such a lovely service.
Isle of Wight Ploughing MatchSeptember 2007 RABI spent a bright sunny day at the Isle of Wight ploughing match. It was a good day out for everyone and we raised £345 on the competition guess the number of spots on Bob the pony. The rocking tractor raffle was very popular and the CLA cake stall raised £101. Well done to everyone involved for making it such a success and thank you for your support.
