Beaufort House is set in two acres on the outskirts of Burnham on Sea. This former boarding school has been extensively modernised although it still maintains its Victorian splendour. 

Beaufort House is very proud to announce that they have recently been awarded 3 stars following a Quality Care Commission check-up. This is the highest award achievable equating to an excellent rating.

24-hour residential care is provided, while the residents are encouraged to remain as independent as possible. The home has 32 rooms all of which are en-suite and all have television points and an emergency call system.

Facilities include a TV lounge, bar lounge, conservatory, hairdressing salon and spa bath and therapy room.  You can download a brochure about Beaufort House HERE.

In addition to the main house there are 12 sheltered flats for more active residents.  A recent addition to the stunning gardens has been a summerhouse where residents can relax.

Christmas Coffee Morning

December 2011

The annual Christmas coffee morning at Beaufort House was a great success raising £1,362 for the residents amenity fund. Depsite a very cold day a record number of people came along and supported the event, including the Mayor of Burnham on Sea.

In Memory of Mrs King

Chew Valley Young Farmers recently donated a bench for the garden at Beaufort House in memory of Mrs Bertha King. Her children, Terry and Liz were on hand with Sue Luck, James Orme and regional officer, Pam Wills to take delivery.

101st Birthday Celebrations

December 2011

Miss Maragaret Axford, resident of Beaufort House celebrated her 101st birthday with a musical afternoon at the home. The day was marked with champagne and a lovely birthday cake made by Becky Simister.

Cream Tea

Scones and cream, a glass of Champagne, musical entertainment and dry weather were the ingredients for a most successful cream tea at Beaufort House, which was enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. A big thank you to Rodda's for supplying the clotted Cornish cream and local farmer Wendy WElland, whose mother-in-law lives at Beaufort, for making 200 delicious scones. A raffle raised £222 for the home's amenity fund.

Garden Award

Congratulations to Beaufort House gardener David Harrison and resident Delmene Daniell, who spends much of her time as assistant gardener, on enabling Beaufort House to win the best nursing home garden category in the Burnham in Bloom competition for the second year running. The garden was also judged 4th overall and 4th in the hanging baskets category for the area. A fantastic result which David has challenged himself to try and beat next year.
