NewsHardship Grants Top £820,000February 2008 Since the beginning of July 2007, RABI has awarded grants totalling over £820,000 to farming families affected by the summer floods and the FMD and blue tongue movement restrictions. Thanks to the generosity of Defra, HRH The Prince of Wales, the North West and South West Regional Development Agencies and donors across the country, we have helped over 455 families who would otherwise have suffered severe hardship. Whilst the worst may appear to be over, there are still many challenges ahead for some members of the farming community. If you, or someone you know, would like to talk in confidence to our welfare staff, please call the RABI helpline on 01865 727888. Back to top |
