Supporting RABI

Fundraising

Why do we need to fundraise?

It costs RABI approximately £1,300 per person each year for every long-term beneficiary. We are currently looking after 1,500. Once someone is accepted as a long-term beneficiary the commitment is for the remainder of their lifetime. This does not include the one off payments for special items, which was over £150,000 in 2004.

RABI is funded by what we can raise ourselves, this shows why it is so important to raise as much money as possible. In 2004 our county committees raised close to £650,000 from a wide variety of events ranging from grand Gala Dinners for several hundred guests to mouse racing evenings for just a few. Whatever the occasion and however much is raised, the support of our volunteers is invaluable.

You can help us in many ways so contact your nearest Regional Officer or Head Office for further information.
