In Memoriam

Many supporters, their families, and friends request that monies be donated to RABI rather than flowers at a funeral. This is a very personal choice and a wonderful way of helping the charity and we thank family and friends for supporting us in this way.

RABI, on average receives in the region of £40,000 to £50,000 per year from donations in memory.

These gifts support the continuing help that RABI is able to offer its Beneficiaries.

To acknowledge and recognise these special donations RABI publishes, each year in the Annual Review, a list of those who have had an In Memory donations made in their name.

How do you give donations?

Relatives can use the service of the funeral director(s) who will look after all cash and cheques given by family and friends in memory.

It is also possible to set up an In Memory Giving page online at Just Giving, this allows donations online to be made by credit/debit cards.

At most funerals there is a collection plate at the back of the church or crematorium. We would recommend that gifts be placed in envelopes and sealed. Gift Aid envelopes are available from FMC Department, RABI Head Office and RABI Regional Officers.

Cheques should be made payable to ‘RABI’and can be sent to the funeral directors by those not able to attend the funeral service. For this reason donations can take up to 3 months to be sent to the charity. A letter of acknowledgement is normally sent out to the next of kin at this point.

Cheques can also be sent straight to RABI but please remember to tell us details of who the donation is in memory of. Our address is detailed HERE.
